Application of International Financial Reporting Standard for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises

Master thesis deals with the application of international financial reporting standard for small and medium-sized enterprises. The object of this thesis is to define the conceptual framework for financial reporting under IFRS for SMEs, to analyze the differences between CZ GAAP and reporting under IFRS for SME and then apply the acquired knowledge within practical part of master thesis along with the definition of the costs and benefits associated with the transition to IFRS for SMEs.

The thesis includes business intention of construction company in the form of a feasibility study. Planned company deals with the realization of timber-framed buildings that are built by hand directly on the construction site. The introductory part describes basic knowledge of the investment projects planning. One subchapter shortly describes the timber construction system. Parts of the business intention are oriented on corporate strategy, marketing, production technology, manpower, economic a financial analysis and risk management. In conclusion is an overall assessment of the project feasibility.

European private company (SPE)

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the statute of a European private company (SPE)- a new European limited liability company intended for small and medium sized enterprises. In the thesis there is a summary of all the initiatives prior to the proposal for the Council regulation on the Statute for a European private company. There is also a summary of the proposal itself and the main characteristics of the company followed by a summary of a number of compromise proposals trying to find a suitable solution for the main problematic areas. After considering advantages and disadvantages of the statute of a European private company, the thesis concludes that the statute would a beneficial factor for the EU due to improvements for the European market and conditions for small and medium sized enterprises.
Analysis of adoption of IFRS for SMEs by the czech company - preparation of the opening statement of financial position

The aim of this bachelor thesis is an application of the International financial accounting Standard for small and medium sized enterprises on the company reporting by the Czech accounting policy and focusing closer on compilation of opening statement of financial position. At the date of transition to the IFRS for SMEs, each entity shall prepare this statement as an obligation. The goal of the thesis is to highlight the complexity of the transition to IFRS for SMEs and show the positives and negatives connected with that. These topics are involved in the theoretical part which also contains definition of the basic terms important for each accounting entity as the transition date, the first transition etc. The crucial target of this bachelor thesis is an analysis of the balance sheet of the selected company, which will be after adjustments, which are in accordance with the IFRS for SMEs, transformed to the opening statement of financial position. The results of the thesis show the process is not a matter of editing a couple of numbers, but it is a difficult process, which requires increased effort in each company.
Business Intelligence solution for e-commerce platforms

This diploma thesis' main subject is to design a service that automatically analyses (e-shop) data, interprets them and consequently provides users with results of this analysis via web service. Design of this service includes concept composition its technical solution and market verification. The main purpose of this thesis is to design an online service for small and medium sized e-shops, that will (based on provided data) deliver information for e-shop performance optimization. Aspects taken into account are service functionality, its technical solution and business plan destined for its market launch. Theoretical part focuses on analysis of online analytical tools that are available for users on market. It looks at internet e-shops market and analyses users' requirements for analytical tool/service either. This part delivers a list of currently available analytical platforms and services that are convenient for e-shops to be used. Then these tools are compared amongst each other. Criteria for comparison are the usability of service, its user experience, positive and negative aspects related to these predefined criteria. Practical part of this thesis specifies functional and non-functional requirements on service, its user interface. The whole concept is verified on market by interview. Discovered requirements are consequently applied in technical solution design and business plan composition. Overall view of functionality and feasibility of the newly designed service and its verification in real environment is the preoccupation of this part as well.
Social responsibility in management and economics of business entities

The aim of the dissertation thesis is to evaluate the concept of corporate social responsibility in management and economics of surveyed small and medium sized enterprises. In the same time, to assess whether corporate social responsibility in current business environment represents benefit by analysing the relationship between the level of corporate social responsibility and the surveyed enterprises' financial situation within. The present dissertation thesis characterizes current social responsibility practice of surveyed small and medium sized enterprises with the help of the created composite indicator of corporate social responsibility level evaluation consisting of 14 selected indicators. The essential results represent statistical analysis of the causal effect of corporate social responsibility level on the financial health of surveyed companies. As the summary of the processed analyses and overall results, there was created model covering the key elements of social responsibility with ties to the management and economics of surveyed small and medium sized enterprises.
Planning and managing of production in small and medium sized enterprises

The name of this bachelor work is "Planning and managing of production in small and medium sized enterprises". This work deals analysis of planning and managing of production in the two factories with proposal to improve their process of production. Theoretical concepts on these issues are summarize in the review of literature. The practical part of this work deals about production, process of production, products and processing of requisition. Part of CENTES factory complements list of daily work activity of one employee, summary list of daily work activity and work list of product. From identified facts in factory Moravia Lacto were designed solution in area of propagation and advertising. It was recommended to expansion of the range in milk products for children and establishment the new sales place in centre of Jihlava. In factory of CENTES was designed appropriate solutions for inconvenient storage place and recommendation for improve working condition and motivation of employees. The bachelor work can bring a new feedbacks and suggestions to improve production in these factories.
